In September 2022, three senior Maritime industry professionals with combined experience of more than 90 years, saw an opportunity in providing technical and strategic solutions to shipowners and founded a company called MazBay LLP.

Mazbay successfully carried out various technical, strategic assignments thereby contributing positively towards enhancing ship owners in their business horizons in more cost effective and environmentally friendly manner.

Our Team

Mr Kamlesh Khanolkar

Mr Kamlesh S Khanolkar is in maritime industry since 1980 when he started his course in marine engineering at Mazagon Dock Ltd, Mumbai. He has a vast experience of New Ship Buildings as well as operating various types of ocean-going Gas Tankers, Oil Tankers and Bulk Carrier ships.

After completing the education, he was sailing for 11 years, and he was a Chief Engineer mainly on Oil tankers and Gas tankers.

Since 1995 he started working ashore for a India’s Largest Private sector shipping company “The Great Eastern Shipping Co. Ltd”. He has headed ship building department for 20 years.

He has also headed Fleet of Tankers and Bulk carriers and involved with all the company’s strategic programs.

Mr Sunil Sadekar

Mr Sunil Sadekar is in maritime industry since 1981 when he started his course in marine engineering at Mazagon Dock Ltd, Mumbai. He has a vast experience of running various types of ocean-going ships.

After completing the education, he was sailing for 20 years and was a Chief Engineer mainly on Oil tankers and Gas tankers.

His experience of many years was used for training and mentoring the young seafarers, and inspections and audits of running ships. He was involved in training the seafarers for oil tankers, LPG, and LNG carriers. He was involved in preparing the company’s Safety Management System (SMS) for TMSA.

In 2012 he set up a ship management division for a Japanese shipping company and converted a foreign flag vessel to Indian flag and looked after the technical operations of the
same.

This was the first time a foreign flag ocean going vessel was being converted to Indian flag for the operations on the Indian coast and worldwide for Indian industry.

Mr Nitin Tipnis

Mr Nitin Tipnis is in maritime industry since 1980 when he started his course in marine engineering at Mazagon Dock Ltd, Mumbai. He has a vast experience of running various types of ocean-going ships.

Ha has sailed for 35 years and was a Chief Engineer mainly on Gantry vessels, Self unloading bulk carriers, Oil tankers (product / crude) and Gas tankers, including Ethylene carriers.

He has vast experience of executing the dry-docking projects.

Way Forward

India has a very large potential for Domestic and International exposure for shipyards and associated activities. These include supply of manufactured goods with worldclass quality. With our expertise we can promote such products.
